Red Belt Rumble 2014 – Results
On Sunday 9 February Peter Harcsa-Pinter and Ace Crawley represented our club at the Notingham Red Belt Rumble at the Ellis Guilford School.
Peter was up first in Pool 4 and like many of the competitors at this event he was in a pool along with three other competitors. Peter won his first contest by Waza-Ari throw and then held for Ippon. He did not fair too well in the remaining two contests losing the first after being thrown for Waza-Ari and then held for Ippon and the second went the full duration and a Yuko score was enough to secure the win for his opponent. Peter finished in third place overall and received a Bronze medal.
Ace was in Pool 7, he won his first contest by throwing for a Yuko and then holding for Ippon, he lost his second being held for Ippon and then in third and final contest he threw his opponent for Ippon and therefore had two wins overall and finished in 2nd place and received a Silver medal.
Red Belt Rumbles are great events for all of our new students that have white or red belts and we look forward to seeing more of you entered into the next one.
