Students Compete for Nottinghamshire

On Sunday 25 May six of our students represented Nottinghamshire at Midland Area Green Belt Senior Open in Walsall and the Thomas Deacon u20 Championships in Peterborough.

Ethan Ward, Brandon Allsebrook and Marija Beliukeviciute attended the Midland Area event along with 13 other players from the Nottinghamshire County squad.

All three of our students fought really well and for Ethan and Brandon it was their first big event.

Marija returned with a silver medal which boosted the total medal haul for the Nottinghamshire squad at this event to 13.

Our other three students Conor Humphreys, William Humphreys and Arunas Beliukevicius attended the Thomas Deacon event along with five other players from the Nottinghamshire County squad.

Again all of them fought well with William winning a gold medal, the Nottinghamshire squad returned with a total of four medals from this event.

Our students were selected to represent Nottinghamshire when they attended the County training session on Saturday 27 March, any student from our club over the age of eight can attend the training sessions that are held bi-monthly.

The next County training session will be held on Saturday 24 July from 10.00am – 12.00pm at Ellis Guilford School, Bar Lane, Nottingham. The cost of the session is £3.00.
