Welsh u20 Age Band Open 2010 – Results
On Sunday 18 July Conor and William Humphreys competed at the Welsh u20 Age Band Open that was held in Cardiff.
Conor fought first in the u42kg category there were six competitors in this group which was split into two pools of three.
Conor won his first fight by Ippon throw and then lost his second by Ippon hold down. During the second contest he sprained his wrist and was unable to continue. However his first win was enough to place him in the top four and he received a Bronze medal.
William was in the u66kg category along with four other competitors, this was a pool of five.
William won all of his four contests the first two were by Ippon throws, the third by Waza-ari throw and hold and in the final contest his opponent had to withdraw through injury. As William had won all of his contests he received a Gold medal.
