Chris Receives British Judo Bronze Award
On Saturday 22 November Paul, Chris, Gary and Michelle along with a number of other Nottingham coaches and volunteers attended the annual British Judo Awards which this year was being held in Nottingham at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
Chris was nominated for the Event Volunteer of the year award for all of his hard work setting up and helping at every Nottingham event, plus on top of that turning up and helping at our club every week.
This is a great testament to the work that is done by members of our club to promote our sport and it is the time, dedication and committed hard work of all our volunteers that keeps our sport alive.
Chris was in a tough category with other hard working volunteers and was awarded the Bronze Award which was a fantastic achievement.
Nottingham’s other results on the night:
Steve Wilkins (Edgewood JC) – Official of the Year – Gold Award
Paul Robinson (University of Nottingham JC) – Club Volunteer of the Year – Bronze Award
Adele Jones (Ryecroft JC) – Club Volunteer of the Year – Bronze Award
University of Nottingham Judo Club – Club of the Year – Bronze Award
We still have so many more deserving volunteers and we look forward to attending future awards evenings and seeing our volunteers picking up more awards!
